It must run in the family

I've been saying for a long time that Josh reminds me of baby Hannah.  They're both curious little monkeys.  And so it is only fitting that Richard caught Josh all tangled up in the music room:

since Hannah got herself into a similar mess six years ago:

By the way, can you hear us trying to explain this picture to Hannah in ten years?  "You see, back when we were in high school, we listened to music on these things called cassette tapes.  The music was stored on these little magnetic ribbons, and then these gears turned them and blah blah bleh blah bleh bleh blah..... "

  1. For the record, Josh thinks that grounded cables taste better than the ungrounded ones.

And Hannah prefers chromium dioxide tapes to the magnetite ones, though it takes a refined palate to note the difference.

  2. Oh my. I don't think they come any cuter. Wait till we tell our kids that we used to have phones connected to the wall with chords! That one will be fun too.

  3. When Rebekah was little she unwound herself many a cassette tape! And, when she was in pre-school, the cash register in the little play house area, had push buttons, etc. I remember her and the other kids, running the 'groceries' across the top of the register, like it was a scanner, and making little beep beep sounds. Some parts of life are soooo different than they were when we all grew up!
